Ronaldo Praises Kaká But Not Milan

Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo talked about a range of topics, including his choice as the best player in the world and his favorites to win the Champions League, as well as Chelsea's current situation.

Before focusing on an important weekend for his national team's bid to qualify for Euro 2008, Portugal and Manchester United starlet Cristiano Ronaldo gave an interview in which he talked about the current state of things in English and European football.

"The best player in the world? At the moment it's Kaká," he said, "but Milan are inferior to Manchester United: I think we are the real favorites to win the Champions League, with the Milan teams and the Spanish teams immediately behind us."

The Portuguese ace revealed his idol is former Manchester United legend Eric Cantona: "I'm wearing the number 7 shirt, the same as my idol Cantona, it's an honor."

He then went on to talk about Chelsea, who are going through some dark times following the departure of Jose Mourinho.

"Without Mourinho, I think they'll have a difficult season," Ronaldo mused, "I don't know how they will manage without him. I'm not saying Chelsea won't aim for the title, but I would be lying if I said I didn't think they're going to have serious problems this season.

"But for now I'll think about the national team: if we qualify, I think we can aim for the title along with the usual teams, Italy, Germany, England, and France."
